Geoff Haynes
Geoff is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology,
From 1968 through 1987 Geoff surfed the semiconductor wave from early custom MOS integrated circuit design with Marconi Microelectronics, through Applications Engineer with Micro-Systems International, Technical Sales with Harris Semiconductor and eventually Managing Director of the Joint Venture sales company of Harris Matra Harris Semiconductor.
The following 10 years from 1987 to 1997 were spent with Maxim Integrated Products learning the art of the successful start-up. A great preparation for the following entrepreneurial phase of his career spanning co-founding, SiGe Microsystems, Mobile Knowledge, SiGe Semiconductor and GaN Systems.
After “retiring” in 2015. Geoff took up a role as Industry Champion for the EPSRC Virtual Power Electronics Research Centre. To support this he formed Inspirit Ventures Ltd as a consultancy dedicated to stimulating new industrial activity from research and development across the UK academic Power Electronics community.
The founding of TTPi in 2017 is one example of that activity in which his role is encouraging the creation of its growing industrial partnerships.
