The Thinking Pod Innovations Ltd (TTPi) is delighted to announce the appointment of David Whelan as non-executive Chair. David is an award-winning Chairman (including 2022 Chairman of the Year Award Europe, CEO Monthly). He has a first-class track record in guiding, developing, and growing numerous businesses as Executive Chairman, Non-Executive Chairman and Non-Executive Director in a wide range of business sectors. He has worked closely with the University of Nottingham for a number of years and TTPI is another successful University of Nottingham spinout.

Possessing the rare combination of superb leadership skills, a fine strategic mind and over 35 years’ business experience at the highest level, David is universally recognised for his ability (within both private equity and publicly owned organisations) to build any business whilst simultaneously increasing company turnover, profitability and successfully facilitating exit strategies.

TTPi was founded in 2017 to take low Technology Readiness Level (TRL) ideas and IP to high TRL Industry ready solutions; invest in these technologies and increase the TRL to a point where it can be fully exploitable by industry.
